George Sand Studies

The George Sand Association is responsible for the publication of George Sand StudiesGeorge Sand Studies is indexed in the MLA International Bibliography and is associated with the Council of Editors of Learned Journals. Members of the George Sand Association have access to George Sand Studies through our website. 

Submission of Articles: The Editorial Board of George Sand Studies invites the submission of articles to be considered for publication. Articles should be double-spaced throughout (including endnotes, quotations, and list of works cited) and should conform to the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, Eighth Edition, 2016. The author’s name should appear nowhere in the article. Articles will be evaluated by two readers plus an editor, whose decision is final. ALL CONTRIBUTORS MUST BE MEMBERS OF GSA. 

Manuscripts in French or English should be sent as attachments to Catherine Masson (cmasson@wellesley.edu).

ReviewsGeorge Sand Studies will gladly consider books for review that deal with George Sand either exclusively or in part, and with other persons and topics related to Sand and her time, provided either the publisher or the author supply a review copy. Information regarding books, performances, or works in other media appropriate for review in George Sand Studies should be sent to Annie Smart, Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, St. Louis University, St. Louis, MO 63108, USA, or at annie.smart@slu.edu.
